I have a Foundation Degree in Integrative Therapeutic Counselling from the University of Greenwich. This Degree has trained me in the following approaches:
Psychodynamic – Looking at how events from our past have impacted upon us and our unconscious / automatic responses. By bringing the unconscious processes forward in your mind, to unravel and work though them. Giving you choice in how your behaviours.
Humanistic/ Person Centered – Focusing on your self-worth, strength and ability to provide change in your own life, for your own needs. Valuing yourself, free from judgement in a strong therapeutic relationship.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (C.B.T.) – Helping you manage your problems, by exploring how your own thoughts can influence your emotions and behaviours. Looking at practical strategies to assist in challenging these thoughts.
